Mark Torlay..AKA Toaster has grown up with his hands into everything from Ice Hockey, Skiing, Wakeboarding, Golf, Mountain Biking to Go-Kart racing. The name Toaster came from a helmet he wore back when he competed in a sport he is most passionate about… Snowboarding.
He spent 6 years travelling the world as a Pro Snowboarder competing in Boardercross and has lived the life in Whistler BC where he trained in the winter. He now focuses his time on finding those precious fresh powder turns in all those secret stashes on WhistlerBlackcomb . He also tears up the après scene emceeing Kokanee parties and can be seen at whistlerblackcomb.com hosting/producing the Snowcast videos. He had an amazing winter after having the opportunity to work with CTV at the 2010 Olympics as a roving reporter in Whistler hosting a feature called “Plugged into Whistler with the Toaster.” Mark was also busy up at Cypress Mountain where he had the chance to interview many of the top athletes in the World in snowboarding including Gold medal winners Shaun White, Maelle Ricker, Tora Bright and Seth Wescott.

Mark tries not to take life too seriously and enjoys rocking out his tickle trunk of head turning costumes. He thinks the world is an oyster and I’m going to eat all of it!! Isn’t that the saying?
